CLASS INFORMATION

Starting in June 2011, I launched monthly cooking classes in St. Paul, Minnesota and am very happy to share my knowledge and experience with you. In addition to these classes, I am available for wedding planning and catering in Minnesota and NYC.

I have had a catering company for over 25 years and wrote a James Beard award-winning book, Serena, Food & Stories. The classes are totally hands on, everyone gets involved in the cooking, and they are excellent fun.

I also write for several food industry websites that I have listed on the columns page.

And please, contact me if you have any questions about the classes, catering or wedding planning. I'd love to hear from you. If you've taken a class, please leave a comment below.

Every month I will send out a menu for the upcoming classes and if you are on my email list you will automatically get it. Click here to sign up for my email list.

ABOUT

The evening starts with a cocktail created specifically for the particular class theme. When you sign in, you will receive a brochure with all the recipes plus many tips and notes to help you recreate the meals at home.
Then we start prepping – slicing, dicing, mixing, baking, and stirring. We cook then eat the first course and continue for a three-hour period, till everything is made and eaten.

AFTER CLASS

I look forward to reading your comments on any class you attended and if you have any after-class questions I will answer them. I’ll also post my own notes if any measurements or procedures vary from the printed recipes you are given.

GOOD NEWS

If you would like a class in your own home for eight or more people (birthdays, anniversaries, wedding shower?), I would be happy to discuss it. Contact me by clicking here.
